The team

Meet your stylists

Alison joined the family business later in her career and now plays a key role in the day-to-day running of The Hair Shop, while still caring for her own loyal clients. Working alongside her twin sister Clare, she brings experience, attention to detail and a warm welcome to everyone who visits the salon.

Clare began her hairdressing career at 16, training under her mum, the founder of The Hair Shop. Nearly 40 years later, she continues to share her expertise with clients while supporting and training the next generation of stylists.

Kayleigh is joining us at the end of May from Dyson Brown and brings with her over 10 years of experience.

Diane has been part of The Hair Shop family for over 25 years and has built a wonderfully loyal client base. With a wealth of experience in all aspects of hairdressing, she's especially known for her work with mature clients and her expertise in classic perming.

Elle has been part of The Hair Shop for five years, training alongside senior stylists and developing her skills. Now fully qualified, she is quickly building a busy column and specialises in creating beautiful balayage and ombre colour.

Phoebe is our Junior Stylist, currently training at the Hair Academy and working towards qualifying in May. Creative and enthusiastic with a natural eye for colour, she's quickly building confidence and skill-while offering 20% off salon prices as she develops her craft.

Our history

A Part of Ashford for generations

The Hair Shop has been proudly serving the Ashford community for over 45 years. Founded by Eve under the original name "Eve's", the salon was built with the goal to create a warm, welcoming space where everyone could feel comfortable and leave feeling their very best.

Hairdressing has always been at the heart of the family. Clare began her journey in the salon at just 16, training under her mum Eve and developing the knowledge and experience she brings today - which she continues to share with the next generation of stylists. Alison later joined the business, helping to shape the salon and support its continued growth working both with her clients on the shop floor and behind the scenes.

Today, The Hair Shop is proudly run by Eve's twin daughters, Clare and Alison, who continue her legacy with the same passion, care, and commitment the salon was founded on. Alongside their team, they have created a truly family-friendly environment, welcoming clients of all ages - from little ones having their very first haircut to lifelong clients who have been visiting for decades.

Over the years, The Hair Shop has become a trusted part of the Ashford community, built on strong relationships, experience, and a genuine love for what they do. More than 45 years on, the salon remains family-run, community-focused, and dedicated to making every client feel at home.
